You have to take the 45-hour Rhode Island Real Estate Course at a Rhode Island state approved real estate school, that's us! Our classes are online with live instructors who are knowledgeable and passionate about helping you in becoming a real estate agent. If you happen to live in another state no problem, you are not required to be a Rhode Island resident to earn your license. Choose from convenient day, night or weekend class schedules. The Rhode Island examination is taken in two parts with PearsonVUE Testing Center. The two parts are National/General and RI State Law. The cost for each is $50.00. You must score at least 70 on both exams. If you fail only one portion of the exam, you only need to retake the portion that was not passed within one (1) year. You must pay for each retake. All RI real estate professionals are licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation (DBR). An application signed by the applicant and principal broker where you will maintain your real estate license is required and must include the following requirement for becoming a real estate agent.
